You’re is a contraction. It stands for “you are.” In context: “You’re my best friend.“
Your is a pronoun. It indicates possession. In context: “I am your best friend.“
I don’t know why, but I’m STILL blown away at the absolute disregard that people have for grammar/spelling online. Dictionary.com is a helpful site. Google will even correct your spelling errors.
Perhaps I’m being a bit anal, but elementary grammar/spelling errors make a person look, well, elementary.
